Hi, I'm Alicia Honeybee

I am both teacher and maker.

Many of the skills I love to teach have been passed from generation to generation. They are the crafts of our ancestors and the ancestors of many lands. My intention in teaching these skills is to honor and share the wisdom of the past and the present. These skills have deep stories. Let us use our hands to remember these stories and write new ones as informed stewards of these skills.

The crafts I focus on are beeswax candle making, beaded jewelry, natural dyeing, and fiber arts ~ spinning, weaving, felting, shearing. I sometimes sell at crafts fairs but mostly I love to gather, connect, and create together in circle.

Classes run in Nevada County, California, Nisenan lands.

Bring your kiddo or come alone for some mama time. Learn to knit or come with skills and enjoy the age old tradition of knitting in circle with women while the children play

You supply your materials, I supply the support.
